Datum: 09.02.2026 11:00 - Alondra Juárez Ramírez

Artists who feel most comfortable working in three-dimensional space — sculpture, installation, even performance — often forget that their portfolio must ultimately translate their work into a two-dimensional image. That image must carry the full essence of the piece: its material presence, light, and soul. Too often, powerful artworks are diminished by flat or improper documentation that fails to reflect their energy and professionalism.

This four-hour practical session guides participants through the complete process of documenting artworks professionally — from setting up a simple photo space to advanced editing and final image preparation. Designed for artists and photographers alike, the workshop focuses on achievable, affordable techniques that deliver high-quality, expressive results suitable for portfolios, publications, and online presentations. Using everyday objects such as mirrors, transparent plastic, pedestals, or turntables, participants will learn how to creatively control light, texture, and perspective to highlight the unique character of each artwork. Through demonstration, guided practice, and feedback, the session empowers artists to produce clean, professional photographs of their work — without losing its soul in translation.

Lernziele

  • Photograph artworks effectively by setting up a simple shooting space and applying three-point lighting to enhance texture, color, and depth.

  • Use creative, accessible tools — from mirrors and turntables to everyday materials — to explore composition, angles, and visual storytelling.

  • Edit and present their images professionally through Lightroom and Photoshop workflows, creating a cohesive portfolio for digital or print use.
