Starting January 21, in the window display at Coop City, St. Annahof, Zurich.
We're showcasing our storefront!
Together with Coop City, we are organizing a pop-up exhibition as part of the “Schaufenster-Kunst” initiative, transforming the storefront windows into a temporary exhibition space in public areas. In collaboration with Zurich-based artist Johanna Hullár, we are creating an installation that brings photography into direct dialogue with architecture, urban space, and everyday perception.
Johanna Hullár works with photography, video installations, and time-based sculptures. Her works explore perception, temporality, and spatial relationships, and their impact is particularly evident in their interaction with the built environment. In this context, the storefront becomes not merely a display space, but an active component of the work.
In the context of Coop City, art becomes part of everyday urban life. The window display invites passersby to pause for a moment and fosters a subtle dialogue between image, space, and public life.

The pop-up exhibition features works by Johanna Hullár, which will be installed in the Coop City storefront and are on view in this context for the first time. Using photography and time-based elements, the artist explores questions of perception, presence, and spatial experience, and brings to light the conditions of seeing in public spaces.
Through reduction, fragmentation, and the deliberate incorporation of the storefront as a display, visual and perceptual spaces emerge that cannot be clearly defined. The works invite passersby to engage actively with them and blur the boundaries between art, everyday life, and observation. This creates a focused space for reflection, in which meaning is renegotiated in the moment of passing by and lingering.
