AURÉLIA MARINE
Curator
Aurélia Marine was born in Paris and grew up in Cham as the daughter of a French film director and a painter. Today, she is a successful photographer and film director.
Her journey began on a sunny day in 2011 when she discovered a camera on the streets of New York. Since then, she has devoted herself entirely to photography and filmmaking. In 2012, she moved to London, where her career took off.
Her works are predominantly abstract, in black and white and are reminiscent of the "film noir" era. Her photographs radiate a timeless quality and capture the essence of an earlier cinematic era.
Her exhibitions have been shown in Switzerland, London, Tokyo, and Los Angeles. She is currently working on a feature-length docu-fiction titled “ANOTHER HUMAN,” which tells the story of a journey to our own nature in times when overconsumption consumes us and pausing promises life. Aurélia continues her tireless exploration of visual storytelling.
“In a world of overstimulation, AI, and rapid production, what still makes us pause and reflect? A moment of pure truth and beauty? Simplicity and honesty? A captured moment that fills us with wonder?
I am delighted to see work that inspires with its own style, courage and authenticity.
Images that transport us into another world with a creative force."
