Aurélia Marine's Wildcards
Here are the wildcards from Aurélia Marine, award-winning photographer, film director and curator of photoSCHWEIZ. More pictures by Thomas Wollenberger, Evita Galanou, Paul Cupido, Eliza Tsitsimeaua-Badoiu and Laura Zalenga can be seen at photoSCHWEIZ in February 2025.
Aurélia Marine
Aurélia designs her room as a poetic synthesis of the arts: the profound installations by Thomas Wollenberger and Evita Galanou merge with Paul Cupido's meditative photographs to create a symbiosis of classical and modern styles.
They are complemented by Laura Zalenga's intimate self-portraits and Eliza Tsitsimeaua-Badoiu's romantic-psychedelic works that transcend age, gender and origin. Aurélia celebrates the diversity of artistic expression and promotes a dialog between generations, genders and cultures - a tribute to the universal language of art.
Evita Galanou & Thomas Wollenberger
Evita Galanou and Thomas Wollenberger combine art, photography, film and theater to create multifaceted works of video, photography, painting and installations. Their contrasting approaches - Thomas' intuitive poetry and Evita's precise post-production - result in multi-layered, visually impressive works.
Eliza Tsitsimeaua-Badoiu
Eliza Tsitsimeaua-Badoiu creates self-portraits, which she mainly edits on an iOS device. This is how she processes her introspections and shows the many lives and egos that she carries within her as a female subconscious.
Laura Zalenga
In Laura Zalenga 's self-portraits, she uses her body to explore emotions, body shapes and her environment. She seeks the fine line between blending in inconspicuously and the urge to live her own authenticity.
Paul Cupido
Paul Cupido captures the magic and setbacks of life in his paintings. Melancholic and surreal, his work questions our relationship to reality and our ability to dream.
