photoSCHWEIZ brings photography to places where life pulsates - with pop-up exhibitions in special locations. This time in the UBS Lichthof on Paradeplatz, a historic building with impressive architecture. The Lichthof, once a central meeting place for Zurich's financial sector, fascinates with its open, light-flooded construction. The high glass ceilings and elegant columns create a unique atmosphere that blends perfectly with the intensity of the photographs on display.
Street and documentary photographer Jens Krauer shows the raw energy of the big city. His intense black and white shots capture fleeting encounters, unembellished emotions and the real life of the street.
The exhibition invites you to immerse yourself in the rhythm of the streets, to experience the interplay of light and shadow - right in the heartbeat of the city.

Ten years, countless streets, tireless curiosity - Krauer captures the fleeting moments of urban life in In Plain Sight - Candid Urban Encounters. In metropolises such as New York, Amsterdam and Paris, he roamed the streets for weeks on end, equipped only with his camera and favorite lens, to shine a light on those who are often overlooked.
Krauer's black and white photographs tell of loneliness and community, of joy and melancholy - raw, authentic, close. His eye for the "decisive moment" makes his work unique. In Plain Sight is a visual homage to the unadorned life of the street and invites you to see the city with new eyes.

Jens Krauer
Zurich photographer Jens Krauer captures the pulsating life of the big city - spontaneously, precisely and full of emotion. His black and white photographs show passers-by, strollers, workers and homeless people in metropolises such as New York, Paris and Istanbul. With a keen sense of light and composition, he captures fleeting encounters that tell stories.
As a street and documentary photographer, Krauer is dedicated to the everyday life of different cultures. His work has been exhibited in Europe and the USA. In addition to his own photography, he gives workshops and seminars in which he teaches creative visual storytelling. His photo book In Plain Sight - Candid Urban Encounters will be published to accompany the exhibition. Curated by Bettina Michel.

With its pop-up exhibitions, photoSCHWEIZ brings photography to special places - such as the Lichthof at Paradeplatz. Once a center of Zurich's financial sector, this light-flooded space fascinates with its imposing glass ceiling and elegant architecture. The open structure creates a unique atmosphere in which art and history come together. As a new stage for visual storytelling, the atrium offers the perfect backdrop for bringing photography to life in an extraordinary setting.
