Every picture tells a story - but how can it be shown to its best advantage? This workshop focuses on conscious and targeted image editing. Instead of random effects, we work systematically: Light, colors and details are specifically designed to enhance the effect of the image. Under expert guidance, the techniques in Adobe Lightroom are applied directly to your own pictures. This will give you a feel for when adjustments make sense and when less is more. The workshop is aimed at amateur and semi-professional photographers who want to refine their visual language and implement it professionally.

Learning objectives

Recognize the image intention and work it out in a targeted manner through post-processing that supports the desired effect. Understand the difference between global and local retouching and be able to use both methods in a targeted manner.

Instructor

Jean-David Jamet

Jean-David Jamet (1994) is an artist and photographer based in Switzerland. He holds a Master's degree in Art Education from the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) and his work has been exhibited in Switzerland and Japan. His work moves between observation and meditation, searching for the hidden dimensions that structure everyday reality. Through precise compositions and subtle tonalities, Jamet explores themes such as time, presence and transformation. Automata at night, volcanic landscapes, individual trees in the fog - each series approaches its subject as both document and metaphor. Automata appear as monuments of efficiency and opacity; trees as silent carriers of wisdom; stones as living matter in slow motion.
